These cookies were a favorite of Carl's mom, Elsie Fisher, and she made them every year at Christmas. This recipe is easy to make and surprisingly tasty.

½cupcanola oil
½cupmilk
3TBLpowdered cocoa
3cupregular oatmealnot instant
½cuppeanut butternot chunky
1tspvanilla
Instructions
Boil together sugar, oil, milk, and cocoa on medium heat for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla. After peanut butter dissolves, sitr in oats until well coated. Nuts or raisins can be added if desired. Drop by the heaping teaspoon full onto waxed paper to cool.
Notes
Less boiling makes the cookies softer; longer causes them to be crumbly.
